Naples Yellow Dark Pigment
Opaque, warm deep yellow pigment.
Chemical description: Lead antimonate (Pb₂Sb₂O₇).
Used since antiquity, prized for its soft, muted, yellow tone, good covering power, and stability in oil, tempera, and fresco.
It is relatively lightfast, though less so in acidic or sulphide-rich environments.
